Default Uncharm Pet (Temporarily)

When I play as a ranger I have a Stalker who's been with me from the beginning. I love my cat, but there is a problem in PvE...

Problem:
When my party of ranged attackers is trying to pick off a few bad guys from a larger group my cat will charge in and sometimes stir up a whole hornet's nest. This often results in the death of the entire party.

Solution:
The Charm Animal icon on the skill bar allows you to bring your animal along, but for the rest of the game it's a dead hole. I'd like to be able to click on the icon to temporarily enable/disable the charm. When the charm is disabled the cat would not attack.

I think this would add a better level of strategy in the use of pets.

It is anpying that our pets aggro the heck out of everything, my suggestion is to allow us mre control over them. Give us something like we now have over henchies, a small icon on the mini map that lets us tell them where to go. This can be easy to implement and can stop the "Stupid Pet Tricks" (aggroing everything on the map and causing grief for the owner). At this time having no control over our pets wants me to wish they had obedience school in Tyria for them. I also have a Stalker from Pre-Searing on one of my characters and will not give him up. But for certian tasks it is usless to have him equipped due to the problems we face.
Give us control over our pets like we have over the henchies now, or are the henchies so stupid that we have to control them and not our rampaging pets.

Well, unless you're in a b/p team... best to leave that pet where it belongs. A filthy pest-ridden cage.

Sometimes pets are a little hard to control, much like real pets. I'm okay with dealing with that.

Actually, being able to disable attack mode would be the equivalent of putting the pet on a leash. I think that would make the pet interaction more realistic, not less.
